Winter Opera Saint Louis is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing affordable music to the people of Saint Louis during the winter months. We could not do it without your support! Donations are tax deductible and can be made online by clicking the ‘donation’ button on this page or calling us at 314.865.0038. Qualified Charitable Distribution
Did you know that if you are 70 ½ years old or older, you can make a tax-smart gift to Winter Opera St. Louis directly from your IRA? A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows you to donate up to $105,000 per year from your IRA to qualified charities like Winter Opera St. Louis, reducing your taxable income and potentially lowering your tax bill.
Benefits:
-Reduce your taxable income: By donating directly from your IRA, the amount donated is not counted as taxable income.
-Satisfy your required minimum distribution (RMD): If you are 72 or older, QCDs can count towards your RMD for the year.
-Make a bigger impact: Donating from your IRA allows you to support our mission with a larger contribution.
How it Works:
-Contact your IRA custodian and specify that you want to make a QCD directly to Winter Opera St. Louis .
