Celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving (in the U.S.) and the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday, #GivingTuesday kicks off the charitable season, when many focus on their holiday and end-of-year giving. Since its inaugural year in 2012, #GivingTuesday has become a movement that celebrates and supports giving and philanthropy to organizations that enrich our lives – organizations like Winter Opera.
This year we’re asking everyone to join us on November 30 for #GivingTuesday by making an online gift to help us continue our mission of bringing world-class operatic performances to St. Louis during the winter months. It is through support from generous individuals that we are able to maintain affordable ticket prices, produce traditional grand operas and operettas, and nurture professional theatre careers of young artists in Missouri and beyond.
We understand that many of our loyal donors give at a specific time of year. It is our hope to attract many new donors, and we ask our regular donors to give a special contribution in addition to their annual gift. 100% of donations to Winter Opera go back into creating operatic productions that can be enjoyed by the whole family.
